Marjorie Pierre Mission is a Texas nonprofit corporation working across Dallas–Fort Worth to move veterans, families and individuals out of homelessness and financial hardship — and to keep them out, with housing, counseling, education and a way to get where they need to go.
What we do
Four things, because one is never enough.
Housing alone rarely holds. Our charter commits us to the supports that make housing stick — so we work all four at once.
Counseling & therapy
Access to therapeutic and supportive services, because the reasons people lose housing rarely stay behind when the housing is found.
Skills and next steps
Educational opportunities and training that build toward employment, stability and genuine self-sufficiency.
A way to get there
Transportation assistance for the appointments, interviews and court dates that decide whether everything else works.

Men and women who served, now facing homelessness, housing instability, or the gap between discharge and what comes next.

Marjorie Pierre Mission INC is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for contributions.
About us
Named for a woman who kept a door open.
Marjorie Pierre raised thirteen children and brought nine of them with her to the United States. Getting established in New York took the help of other people, and she spent the rest of her life paying it back — running two soup kitchens, and well into her eighties still splitting each year between Trinidad and the States so she could keep showing up in both.
The organization carries her name because the work is hers: meet people at the moment they need a hand, and expect them to be standing on their own before long.
